ANZAC Day

ANZAC-DayWhen a solemn occasion such as ANZAC day comes around, you can’t help but feel a sad sense of pride in those who risked, and lost, everything so that we can continue to live as we do. Countless men and women have been lost over the years in the fight to protect our great country. On the anniversary of the landing of Gallipoli we remember the tragic events that led to the loss of more than 8000 Australian, and over 2000 New Zealander lives. On this day, we recognise not only the sacrifices of our own, but those of our comrades, and past enemies alike. All fought valiantly for their cause, and deserve our respect as they lie in peace. With the battles long finished, and memorials constructed on ancient battlefields, don’t forget to honour those who died for us on this day or mourning, and celebration.
